Saher Junaid is from Pakistan. She completed her BSc (Physics) degree in 2012 from University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Her main focus during her BSc was solid state physics. In 2012, she went to Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, Germany for her Msc degree in Photonics. She completed her Master degree in January 2015. During her Master degree, she was able to pursue her research work in the field of Tm-doped tunable fiber lasers (Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology Jena).
Eager to pursue more experience in the field of Photonics, she started her PhD in DTU Fotonik, Denmark. Her research work is for the major part about Hyperspectral Imaging in mid-infrared regime based on nonlinear frequency upconversion, which is a part of the ITN Mid-TECH project.
