The University of Exeter is one of the leading research intensive universities in the UK. The university has around 20,000 students of which 4000 are postgraduate research students.
Exeter has developed a particular focus on inter-disciplinary research. The Biospectroscopy Group which is part of Biomedical Physics is a partner in this project and the group sits at the interface of physics, biology, medicine, and chemistry. Biomedical Physics is made up of 7 academics, 15 postdoctoral researchers and 20 PhD students (scientists and clinicians).
