Laurent Huot is from France and is an Industrial PhD student hired by NKT Photonics and enrolled at DTU Fotonik in Denmark. His research interests, as part of the Mid-TECH ITN project, include using mid infrared supercontinuum laser sources in conjunction with parametric upconversion detection systems for broadband spectroscopy and imaging.
Laurent holds a MSc in optics and photonics at Institut d'Optique in Palaiseau in France where he was trained in theoretical physics as well as optical engineering. His previous work experiences include building automated laser-induced damage threshold measurement system at Coherent Kaiserslautern GmbH in Germany and measuring high resolution spectra of the emission of N2 across a femtosecond laser filament at Tokyo University in Japan.
